EVANSVILLE - Evansville road crews are preparing for their annual pothole blitz.
The City of Evansville said road crews will fill as many reported holes as they can beginning the week of April 5th.
Officials said residents can report potholes by calling the city's pothole hotline from March 29th through April 2nd. They said the City will then map out all the locations and create a grid that will help road crews systematically fill potholes.
Evansville officials said crews can't start filling potholes until April because they won't have enough patch material until then.
When reporting a pothole, the City asks callers to give specific information about the location of the pothole and contact information in case road crews have trouble finding it.
The pothole hotline in Evansville is (812) 435-6000, and the Vanderburgh County hotline is (812) 435-5777.
City officials said they won't patch holes on Diamond Avenue, Morgan Avenue, US 41, the Lloyd Expressway and State Road 62 because INDOT maintains those roads.
