DAVIESS CO., KY - An Owensboro man faces drunk driving charges following an accident Tuesday afternoon just east of Owensboro.
Kentucky State Police said Phillip Jason Roberts, 39, was arrested after crashing his car on KY 405 near the Wrights Landing Road intersection.
Police said Roberts crossed the centerline and overcorrected. They said his 1997 Honda then slid off the road into a ditch, and flipped over onto a utility guide wire.
KSP said emergency crews had to cut Roberts out of his vehicle. They said he was then taken to OMHS.
Police said Roberts was later arrested and charged with driving under the influence and having an open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle. They said this is his third drunk driving arrest. He is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center.
