EVANSVILLE - NEWS 25 is tracking efforts at the University of Southern Indiana to protect students from the flu. USI officials told us about 1,300 USI students have received the H1N1 vaccine on campus.
Interim Provost Nadine Coudret oversees the campus clinics, and said the school is still vaccinating those in the Tier 1 group. Coudret said attendance has varied at the clinics. She said many students are interested in getting the vaccine, but claimed some misinformation students are receiving is making them wary of getting the vaccine.
The Vanderburgh County Health Department has been supplying USI and the University of Evansville with doses of the H1N1 vaccine. The next H1N1 flu clinic at USI will be held next week. UE officials told us they held their last H1N1 clinic earlier this month.
