EVANSVILLE - An Evansville woman and her father are arrested on four counts of the Neglect of a Dependent after police officers say they found her children living in filth with no food.

25-year-old Monica Jones and 51-year-old Donald Davis Junior are charged for a case dating back to last December.

Officers initially responded to the accidental death of Jones' infant, when they say they noticed the other children living in squalor conditions.

Vanderburgh County Deputy Prosecutor Jonathan Parkhurst says the delay in the arrests is because the case got lost in the back logs.
