WEBSTER CO., KY - A Webster County pastor has been indicted on charges of conspiracy to manufacture marijuana.

The U.S. Department of Justice said a federal grand jury returned the indictment last week against 57-year-old Nicholas Davis, aka Nicky, who was a pastor at a Webster County church, and two other men from Crittenden County.

The indictment alleges that Davis, 67-year-old Robert Blackburn and 37-year-old Carl Belt, Jr. conspired sometime between the spring of 2009 and October 2009 to grow over 100 marijuana plants in the area.  DOJ officials said the indictment also seeks forfeiture of a building and property owned by Davis in Marion, KY where marijuana plants were found.

If convicted, the defendants could face between 5-40 years in prison and a $2 million fine.
