EVANSVILLE - Officials say convicted murderer 49-year-old Matthew Eric Wrinkles of Evansville, Ind. will not request clemency from Gov. Mitch Daniels. Wrinkles is scheduled for execution next month for the 1994 murders of his estranged wife Debbie, her brother Tony Fulkerson and Fulkerson's wife Natalie.

Indiana Department of Correction spokesman Doug Garrison says Wrinkles refused to fill out paperwork required to request clemency this week. Friday was the deadline for Wrinkles to sign a form waiving his right to a clemency hearing.

Garrison says state parole board officials will visit the Indiana State Prison on Tuesday to make sure Wrinkles understands that he is giving up clemency.

Wrinkles has exhausted all of his state and federal appeals and is scheduled to be put to death December 11, 2009.
