NEWS 25 - WEHT: Evansville, Henderson, Owensboro-Bicknell Man Killed in Accident on US 231

SPENCER CO., IN - The Spencer County Sheriff's Department says one man is dead and another is in the hospital after a single vehicle accident on Tuesday.
Deputies said the accident happened around 5:20 p.m. on the US 231 exit ramp to SR 66.
The Sheriff's Office said Matthew Laue, of Bicknell, IN, was exiting US 231 in his black Chevy Silverado when the truck went off the ramp. They said Laue tried to get the truck back on the road, but lost control of it causing it to overturn.
Deputies said the passenger, 23-year-old Jeremy Hallet, of Bicknell, IN, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. They said Laue was taken by ambulance to OMHS.
Authorities said the roadway was closed for about two hours while emergency crews cleaned up the scene.
