GIBSON CO., IN - The wheels were literally falling off for 21-year-old Cynthia Williams of Patoka, IN, Thursday morning. Indiana State Police said they arrested Williams for driving under the influence of drugs after a tire fell off her vehicle.
Troopers said Williams was driving her 2002 Oldsmobile west on Oak Street in Princeton when a tire fell off. They said she lost control and ran into a parked car near Gibson Street.
ISP said troopers arrived at the scene and asked the woman to get out of the car. When she did, troopers reported a glass pipe fell on the ground. Troopers said the pipe looked like one used to smoke methamphetamine. ISP said Williams picked the pipe up and then smashed it on the ground when troopers tried to handcuff her.
State Police said further investigation revealed that Williams was driving under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana.
They reported she was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail on several drug charges and a felony count of obstruction of justice.
