WARRICK CO., IN - The Warrick County Health Department will hold two H1N1 flu vaccine clinics this week. The first clinic will be held Tuesday at the health department office in Boonville from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It will be for pregnant women only.
The second clinic will be held Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will also be at the Warrick County Health Department office in Boonville. The second clinic will be for the following target groups only:
- Pregnant women
- Household contacts of babies under six months of age
- Children and young people age six months to 24 years (except Warrick County Middle and High School students)
- People ages 24 to 64 that have chronic medical conditions
Health department officials said middle and high school students in the county are not eligible for this clinic because they will receive vaccinations in their schools. Elementary school children will receive the nasal mist in their schools, but those with medical conditions that prevent them from getting the nasal mist are eligible for this clinic. Officials said students that are Warrick County residents but do not attend school in the county are also eligible at this clinic.
The WCHD said proof of residency will be required and there will be no exceptions to the target group.
