HENDERSON CO., KY - A man was taken to the hospital Thursday night after being hit by a car in the parking lot of Chandler Elementary School in Corydon, KY.
The Henderson County Sheriff's Office said 40-year-old Robert Sneed was hit by a car around 9:45 p.m.
Deputies said 45-year-old Byron Alderson was pulling out of a parking space when he struck Sneed. According to the Sheriff's Office, Alderson told deputies the low lighting in the parking lot coupled with the tint of his windshield caused him not to see Sneed.
Authorities said the front of Alderson's car hit Sneed in the leg causing him to fall and hit his head on the pavement. Deputies said Sneed was alert and responsive, but was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville for treatment.
