Posey County Man Hits Deer On ATV

POSEY CO., IN - A Posey County man is in the hospital Thursday morning following an ATV accident Wednesday night.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said the accident happened around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday on Darnell School Road.

Conservation officers said Cory McCune was driving home on his ATV when he hit a deer in the road. They said it appeared the four-wheeler flipped over, throwing McCune off.

Authorities said a passer-by found the man unconscious in the road and called for help.

Conservation officers said McCune was taken to Deaconess Hospital. His condition has not been released.
