Melissa Storms, a Pickup and Delivery Manager for Fed Ex Ground from Elberfield, IN, will be a contestant in the “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” hot seat on Friday, October 30th and Monday, November 2nd, 2009 at 6:30pm on NEWS 25.

Here's a short bit of bio for Melissa:

  • Melissa is originally from Iowa and is a 1986 graduate of Pleasant Valley CHS and is the daughter of James and Vicky Danielson, of Bettendorf, IA.  Her mom came to NYC with her and sat in the Millionaire audience as her on-air companion for the show.
  • Melissa has been married to her husband Ronald for almost 20 years and together they have three kids – Zach (age 18), Macey (age 12) and Kylie (age 11).
  • Her husband Ronald works 65+ hours a week and is rarely home.  Due to some financial difficulties, he hasn’t been able to finish school to become a surgical technician.  Melissa said if she wins big on Millionaire, Ronald would be able to quit his job and do what he really wanted to do!
  • With Melissa’s oldest son in college and her daughters there “before she knows it,” she would also use her Millionaire money to pay for their educations.
  • Melissa’s two younger children were bummed that they couldn’t skip school to go to NYC with their mom, but Melissa promised them that if she did well on the show, she would buy them the laptops they’ve been asking for (in hot pink and purple!)
  • At the insistence of her mother, Melissa came up with one thing that she would like to do for herself with her Millionaire money – get Lasik surgery!
