FRANKFORT, KY - Three Tri-State communities will receive grant money to help with their 911 services. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear announced that more than $960,000 in grant money would be awarded to 12 Kentucky communities.
Here in the Tri-State, $41,334 in grant money will go to the Daviess County Fiscal Court, $112,896 will go to Muhlenberg County Fiscal Courts, and the City of Henderson will get $55,573.
Beshear said the money should be used to upgrade equipment and improve reliability of 911 call centers across the state.
More than 60 Kentucky communities applied for the grant but only 12 received money.
