NEWS 25 - WEHT: Evansville, Henderson, Owensboro-Suicidal Man Forces Lockdown of a Daviess County School

DAVIESS CO., KY - A Daviess County elementary school was placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon as police talked down a suicidal man in the area.
Authorities said Country Heights Elementary near Philpot, KY was placed on lockdown at 2:00 p.m. because of a possible suicidal man in a neighborhood that borders the school.
Daviess County Sheriff's deputies and Kentucky State Police troopers responded to the situation and talked the man out of his home unharmed. The lockdown was lifted shortly after and lasted for what officials called a "matter of minutes."
Authorities said the man was taken to the hospital for observation.
