Worker Found Dead At Waupaca Foundry

Posted:

PERRY CO., IN - Authorities are investigating a death at the Waupaca Foundry in Tell City, IN.

The Perry County Coroner's Office said Frankie Jordan, 42, died just after 4:00 a.m. Monday, after a co-worker found him pinned against some machinery.

The Coroner's Office said Jordan was a maintenance worker at the Foundry, and was fixing a belt in a scissor lift when the accident happened.  They said Jordan was leaning over the joystick that controlled the lift and it moved, pinning him against the machine.

The Coroner's Office said he does not have a cause of death yet, but an autopsy will be performed at some point.  They told us he does not suspect any foul play was involved.
