WARRICK CO., IN - A historic Warrick County bridge has a new home.
Newburgh town manager Cynthia Burger says the one-hundred foot bridge has been moved to the greenway area near yorkshire and state road 662.
The bridge was built in 1910, then moved into storage in 2006 from its original location on warner road over cypress creek. It was determined by SHPO that the bridge is eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
The bridge is a single span polygonal chord warren pony truss bridge built in 1910.
Burger says decking and the bridge approach should be finished in the next two weeks.
